Well, I'm back. I apologize to those of you who followed me through this dry spell, waiting for new posts. I've been busy - distracted would be a better word - by having been scammed by a dishonest marketing company that preys on writers. I'll get into more detail on this detestable side of human nature in a later post, but for now I'll share some good news.
My latest novel, MOSES, is now available on Amazon (and other platforms). For me this is no small feat. It took me several years to research the backstory of this iconic historical and biblical figure. I'd been warned along the way to leave well enough alone and not dive into murky waters by retelling the story of Moses and the Exodus in a way that differed from the Old Testament. And differ it does.
I have an author talk scheduled for later this month with a religious group in Florida and I've been told that some of its members are quite angry with my retelling. Actually, I'm looking forward to hearing from them, as I plan to do many of these talks over the next year, so I want to be prepared to handle these objections. While my storyline does take an alternate route to the man, the Exodus and the events surrounding them, it in no way detracts from the seminal importance of a great leader and the formation of a people who believe in one God and the rule of law.
I'll keep you posted on how this all goes, but for now I want to announce that [MOSES has been recorded on audio by arguably the finest voice actor around. Adam Hanin's narration is magical, forceful, emotional.
I love to listen to him as my words leap off the page. If you're into audio books, you'll be doing yourself a favor by downloading MOSES in ebook or hard copy or audio formats.
