To all my loyal readers I'll start by saying thank you! There's no more satisfying feeling for an author (that would be me) than having you read one of my novels and contacting me with your comments, questions, critique, and suggestions.
This newsletter has been a long time coming. For years I've wanted to create a dialog with readers - a conversation really - but, quite frankly, Amazon is actually a barrier to the kind of open communication I'd like. So despite the long wait for the right platform to come along, here it is and here I am.
In my newsletter I'd like to share with you:
what gets me out of bed every morning ready to put ink to paper (more accurately, zeroes and ones on my hard drive)
the frustrations that authors face
what comes easily and what I find so tedious or difficult that on some days I'd rather sell aluminum siding
animated conversations about all things writing
Four of my six my novels are historic fiction, though I do love and write general fiction, too. So, I'll share what I'm working on at the moment, the painstaking research, what I'm thinking of writing next (to get your feedback), and more. In fact, I'll also ask for your opinion on ideas I have, or answer your questions.
With more than 650 published non-fiction articles in major magazines, six novels, and several non-fiction books, I'll also offer tips and techniques that work... for me at least.
My goals to post a new newsletter every Monday and Friday, with Friday’s post being something to stimulate discussion, comments, contests and the bizarre (at the very least distantly related to writing).
I'll also soon announce the availability of my latest novel, a major work that’s sure to be controversial. My writing website has lots of details about my novels. along with blogs.
Thank you for joining this journey. I look forward to animated conversations, so please subscribe now and add your voice to this community.
