Every Friday I’ll post a challenge for writers, just to keep our creaky wheels oiled. None of these challenges should take a great deal of time, but should serve up some creative responses, ones from which we could all learn.
This Friday Creatives challenge is this image:
Limit yourself to 100 words and write anything you’d like that includes it. Perhaps a short side note descriptive scene in a novel or short story. Maybe describe who left it, or what it is, or why the hues are sop important to your character. If you’re a travel writer, make us want to be there. If you like dialogue, what on earth about this object are the people discussing?
Leave your contributions in the comments section. This is not a critique of entries, but a chance for us to expand our writing horizons by exposing ourselves to the many creative ways to treat a scene.
